NAHCO Aviance Plc appoints Olatokunbo Fagbemi into its Board

NAHCO equipment rams into Air Peace aircraft at Lagos Airport, causes damage

Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc (NAHCO Aviance), today announced the appointment of Mrs Olatokunbo A. Fagbemi as a Non-Executive Director.

According to a press statement sent to the Nigerian Stock Exchange, Mrs Fagbemi’s appointment took effect on August 15, 2018. She took over from Mr Denis Hasdenteufel who recently resigned from the positioned over unstated reasons.

Mrs Fagbemi is a graduate of the University of Ibadan from where she obtained a Bachelors’ Degree in Pharmacy. She holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Instituto de Estudios Superiores de la Empresa, which is also known shortly as IESE.

She attended Cranfield University (UK), obtaining a certificate in Air Transport Management and Air Commercial Revenue Development. In the same vein, Mrs Fagbemi has undergone studies at the Harvard University Kennedy School of Governance from where she obtained a certificate in Infrastructure in a Market Economy. Also, she is an alumnus of the Lagos Business School.

Mrs Fagbemi is an International Airport Professional (IAP), with certification from Airports Council International. She is also a certified Leasing Professional and an expert in Infrastructure Provision and Public-Private Partnerships.

She has many years of experience in different aspects of airport management, passenger handling, ramp handling, and cargo handling, thanks to her work in different airports around the world such as Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Nigeria, Changi Airport in Singapore, Dubai International Airport, Dallas Fort Worth, etc.

She is also an experienced consultant, business advisor and finance expert; this is due to her experience in the aviation industry here in Nigeria and elsewhere.

She has attended different workshops and seminars organised by the global aviation bodies such as the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), International Air Transport Association (IATA), IATA Ground Handling Council (IGHC), and Airports Council International (ACI).

She is married with children.

NAHCO Aviance is a diversified company with interests in aviation cargo, aircraft handling, passenger facilitation, crew transportation and aviation training. It reported a turnover of N4.6 billion in its half-year 2018 financial report compared to N3.7 billion reported in the same period last year. It also reported a profit after tax of N418 million, compared to N176 million reported in the same period of 2017.

The company’s stock is currently trading at N3.73 on the Nigerian Stock Exchange.
