Anchor Insurance Company Limited has announced the appointment of a new managing director.
In a statement by the company’s Brand and Corporate Communications Manager, Jamiu Osoba announced Mr. Augustine Ebose as the new managing director. This was sequel to his confirmation by the National Insurance Commission NAICOM.
Prior to his appointment, Ebose was the company’s Executive Director overseeing the business and marketing chains of the company.
Profile of the new Managing Director
Mr. Osegha holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics and a Master’s degree in Business Administration obtained from Delta State University and University and the University of Ado-Ekiti respectively.
He started his working career with Erikana Nigeria Limited between 2000 to 2001 as a Marketing Officer and later moved to Alliance & General Insurance Company Limited where he served in various capacities from 2001 to 2004 as an Executive and rose to the position of Branch Manager.
He was the Head of Public Sector/Emerging Markets Division and General Manager at Standard Alliance Insurance Plc., until December 23, 2016.
Mr. Osegha served as the Divisional Head of Public Sector, Energy & Telecoms and Head of Public Sector/Brokers Division at Standard Alliance Insurance Plc. Since 2000, Mr. Osegha served as Assistant Branch Manager of A & G Insurance Plc.
He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers of Nigeria, member Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria.
Anchor Insurance Company Limited was licensed in October 1989 as a General Business (Non-life) Insurance outfit and started operations in November of the same year. In January 1992, the Company added Life/Pension class of Insurance to its business portfolio thereby attaining the status of a Composite Insurance Company.
In 1998, Anchor Insurance Company Limited was re-registered by National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) as a composite insurance company.
