This Is Why Etisalat’s 4G Service Is Different From What You Are Used To

It’s now official! Etisalat Nigeria has joined the league of telecom providers offering the 4G LTE service. Globacom and MTN had earlier rolled out the service on their respective nettworks and now Etisalat has joined them.

Speaking at the launch, CEO Etisalat Nigeria, Matthew Willsher said, “The 4G LTE technology offers our customers increased access to high speed data and quality voice services real time. With the new technology, our customers will enjoy efficient broadband internet and uninterrupted connectivity to clearer voice calls, increased access to online streaming and ultra-high definition videos.”

The service is now active in certain parts of Lagos such as Yaba and Ikeja, with the network promising a wider coverage for the service.

Why the Etisalat 4G service will be particularly pleasing to the networks suscribers is that unlike Glo and MTN subscribers who have to purchase and swap sims, they do not need to purchase another sim card as Etisalat sims are already 4G-enabled.

This fact was alluded to by Matthew who told Tech Cabal, “For us at Etisalat, our passion is to be at the forefront of promoting a vibrant economy for Nigeria by leading the digital revolution.”
