Two new cases of the Coronavirus have been confirmed by the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
The announcement was made by the NCDC on its Twitter handle, in its regular COVID-19 updates.
“As at 07:00 am 25th March, there are 46 confirmed cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria. 2 have been discharged with 1 death” the tweet read in part.
According to the tweet, both cases are travellers who returned in the last 7 days. While one case is in Lagos, the other one is in Osun.

This brings the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria to 46, with 30 of this figure in Lagos state, 8 in FCT Abuja, 3 in Ogun state, and 1 each in Ekiti, Oyo, Bauchi and Edo state.
So far, two have been discharged, with one dead, and the rest undergoing treatment.
