The Nigerian Stock Exchange ended Wednesday’s trading session in negative territory. The All Share Index closed at 28,042.80 basis points, down 0.56%. Year to date, the index is down 10.78%.

Top Gainers and Losers: AG Leventis Plc was the best performing stock today. The stock gained 10% to close at N0.33. Chams Plc gained 8% to close at N0.27. Mutual Benefits Assurance Plc gained 5% to close at N0.21. Courteville Business Solutions Plc gained 4.76% to close at N0.22. Consolidated Hallmark Insurance Plc rounds off the top five gainers for today. The stock gained 3.33% to close at N0.31.

On the flip side, Julius Berger Nigeria Plc was the worst performing stock, declining by 9.77% to close at N18. Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc fell by 9.62% to close at N2.35. Unity Bank Plc fell by 9.23% to close at N0.59. AXA Mansard Insurance Plc fell by 8.33% to close at N1.65. Honeywell Flour Mill Plc rounds off the top five losers for the day. The stock shed 7.07% to close at N0.92.
Top Trades by Volume: Guaranty Trust Bank Plc was the most actively traded stock today. 77.5 million shares valued at N2.2 billion were traded in 255 deals. FBN Holdings Plc was next with 29 million shares valued at N163 million traded in 199 deals, followed by United Bank of Africa Plc with 13 million shares valued at N76.5 million traded in 222 deals. Zenith Bank Plc was next with 13.2 million shares valued at N247 million traded in 377 deals.
LASACO Assurance Plc rounds off the top five most actively traded stocks today with 11.3 million shares valued at N3.9 million traded in 59 deals.

Corporate Action
Concoil Plc has declared a dividend of 200 kobo per (50)kobo share for 2019 financial year ended December 2018.
The Company’s Annual Meeting will hold at Le Meridien Ibom Hotel and Golf resort, Uyo, Akwa Ibom, on August 16, 2019 at 11.00am. The qualification date is August 2, 2019.
The Register of Shareholders will be closed from August 5, 2019 to August 9, 2019.
