Diamond Bank Plc

Diamond Bank was the best performing stock this week. The stock opened at ₦1.20 and closed at ₦1.44, up ₦0.24 or 20%. Year to date, the stock is down 4%.

The movement in the stock’s price was largely due to reports of new key investors taking up a stake.A claim which the bank has since debunked.

The bank also released its results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2018.

Gross earnings for the group dropped from ₦143 billion in 2017 to ₦142 billion in the year under review. Profit before tax also fell from ₦4.7 billion in 2017 to ₦3.08 billion. Profit after tax also dipped from ₦3.9 billion in 2017 to ₦1.6 billion.

Law Union and Rock Insurance Plc

Law Union and Rock Insurance opened at ₦0.50 and closed at ₦0.58, up ₦0.08 or 16%. Year to date, the stock is down 24.68%.

Fidelity bank Plc
