The National Bureau of Statistics NBS has released the Liquefied Petroleum Gas [cooking gas] price watch for the month of March.

Average price for the refilling of a 5kg cylinder for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (Cooking Gas) decreased by -3.03% month-on-month and decreased by -16.16% year-on-year to  ₦2090.97 64 March 2018 from  ₦2,155.97 in February 2018.

The report shows states with the highest average price for the refilling of a 5kg cylinder for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (Cooking Gas) were Borno ( ₦2487.50), Yobe ( ₦2500.00), and Bauchi ( ₦2400.00).

While states with the lowest average price for the refilling of a 5kg cylinder for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (Cooking Gas) were Abuja ( ₦1,760.00), Ebonyi ( ₦1,870.00) and Ekiti ( ₦1,895.00).

Similarly, the average price for the refilling of a 12.5kg cylinder for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (Cooking Gas) decreased by -1.84% month-on-month and decreased by -13.60% year-on-year to  ₦4253.73 in March 2018 from  ₦4,333.27 in February 2018.

The report also listed states with the highest average price for the refilling of a 12.5kg cylinder for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (Cooking Gas) include Akwa Ibom ( ₦4,650.00), Benue ( ₦4,966.67) and Cross River ( ₦4,730.00).

States with the lowest average price for the refilling of a 12.5kg cylinder for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (Cooking Gas) were Oyo ( ₦3834.38), Lagos ( ₦3768.00) and Bauchi ( ₦3,400.00).

According to the National Bureau of Statistics, the prices of cooking gas fluctuated in March, with some state residents paying more than others.
