In a notice sent to the Nigerian Stock Exchange ( NSE) yesterday, United Capital Plc announced the appointment of Mrs Odiri Oginni as Acting Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective September 28, 2017. Mrs Oginni replaces Mr Sunday Anene who has been appointed Managing Director of United Capital Asset Management. Prior to her appointment, she was the Head Financial Planning, Strategy, and Investor relations at United Capital Plc. Mrs Oginni has also had stints at Deloitte, BGL, and UBA Plc. She has a B.Sc in Accounting from Babcock University, and holds ACA and CFA certifications.
United Capital Plc was incorporated in Nigeria as Limited Liability Company on March 14, 2002 under the Companies and Allied Matters Act, Cap C20, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004. It became a public company and was listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange in January 2013 after a successful spin-off from UBA Plc.
UCAP is a holding company with three subsidiaries namely United Capital Trustees Limited, United Capital Asset Management Limited and United Capital Securities Limited. Its areas of business include investment banking, trusteeship, asset management and stock-broking. UCAP shares closed at N3.05 in today’s trading session on the NSE, up 2.01%
