South African Paint Maker Kansai Plascon Sets Up Nigerian Office

South African Paint maker, Kansai Plascon, has opened a Nigerian office as part of its strategic expansion into Africa.

According to the company’s President
Mr. Hiroshi Ishino, it took them three years of “investigation, discussions, negotiations and development of understanding”  before the firm found the right partners to join hands with it to enter Nigeria.

Talk about due diligence.

“We embrace the culture and unique aspects of each African country we enter to ensure we develop our business with the utmost respect and consideration for each country, and as Nigeria is the power house of Africa, especially the West African region. Kansai Plascon investigated the marketplace thoroughly before entering into the Nigerian market.

Nigeria is obviously the largest retail market in Africa and you might not be wrong to think the due diligence was more like working from answer to question.
