  1. Calabar Christmas Festival

The Calabar Christmas festival runs through the whole of December . Filled with various activities ranging from motor bike racing , beauty pageant and the street carnival itself. It’s usually graced by celebrities in the entertainment industry. So Calabar may just be the place to see your favourite celeb up and close.

The headies is arguably, the most prestigious music award ceremony in Nigeria. Indeed, almost equivalent to the Grammy awards. This year’s edition will see performances by 2 face, Darey, Flavour , Mr Eazi, Kiss Daniel and many more. Red carpet commences at 7pm and the event proper at 9pm. Venue is the Convention Centre, Eko Hitel. December 22nd 2016. Tickets are 5000 naira for regular, 15,000 naira for Vip and 25,000 naira for Vvip.

  1. Rhythm Unplugged

One of the moat anticipated events during the festive season, It has a loaded lineup of artistes: P Square, Olamide, Davido, Tekno, Falz, Kiss Daniel and many more. It’s taking place on the 23rd of December at 8pm. Venue is the Eko Convention Centre. Tickets go for 7500 naira and 25,000 naira respectively. Host for the night is Bovi.

 

  1. OLIC 3

If you think OLIC is the acronym of an organization, you need to be pop cultured. OLIC stands for Olamide Live in Concert. This year’s edition is the third in the series which began in 2014, and is themed Beast Mode. Olamide is arguably one of the hottest musicians in Nigeria at the moment. The concert will hold on the 26th of December 2016 at the Convention Centre, Eko Hotel. Performers include Baddo Sneh (Olamide in case you don’t know), and other YBNL acts namely Viktoh and Adekunle Gold. Tickets are 5000 naira for regular and 20,000 naira for VIP. His 6th studio album”The Glory” will also be released on the same day.

 

  1. Ali Baba’s January 1st concert

Veteran comedian, Ali Baba will be hosting the third edition of his new year concert on the first of January 2017. Venue is Eko hotel and the event starts by 4pm. Tickets go for 6000 naira and 10,000 naira respectively. Musicians performing include Harrysong, Simi and Waje Comedians who will be taking the stage include Omo Baba, Funny Bone and many others.
