In Lagos, Eko Atlantic Moves to Resolve Construction Workers’ Dispute

  • The management of South Energyx Nigeria limited, developers and promoters of Eko Atlantic City, Victoria Island, Lagos has refuted allegations of non-increment of allowances by construction workers at the project site on Wednesday when the workers embarked on protest, adding that as a leading global brand in real estate, the company cannot but adhere to best practices in line with labour laws.
  • The Managing Director of South Energyx Nigeria Limited, Mr. David Frame, who addressed the protesting group, requested the workers to bring their issues to the table for a peaceful resolution, pointing out that “In the light of complete resolution to all issues, management wishes to refute the false allegations raised by the workers”.
  • According to Mr. Frame, South Energyx Nigeria limited, prides its staff as its greatest asset and reiterated the fact that as a leading global brand in real estate, it cannot but adhere to best practices in line with labour laws.

“The management of Eko Atlantic is investigating claims made and deliberations are ongoing to ensure a mutual beneficial resolution is arrived at. We regret any inconveniences the disturbances may have caused motorists and businesses in the surrounding area”, Frame said
