These 4 Blue Chip Nigerian Stocks Hit A One Year Low Today

The Nigerian All Share Index closed lower today losing 0.88% to 30,492.3 extending its losing streak to six straight days. Leading the gainers chart was Wapic Insurance which saw significant volumes and gaining 5.26% to close at 0.6kobo. Beta Glass also joined the gainers chart closing at N25.2. Mansard also joined the gainers chart after announcing plans to acquire a PFA.

On the losers chart were four blue chip stocks which all claimed the notoriety of another one year low. Seplat crashed below N300 for the first time since it was listed continuing a rout that has failed to abate. UBA is thought to be commencing a Rights Issue at a price of N4, however the share price has now dropped to N3.8. Flourmills also dropped to its lowest price this yea closing at N39.49. Conglomerate UACN also closed at its lowest this year as the share price dropped to N36.1.
