Tough Times As Unity Bank Parts Way With Three Executive Directors

Three Executive Directors of Unity Bank Plc have reportedly resigned from the bank to pave the way for the bank’s repositioning in line with its new vision to be Nigeria’s retail bank of choice. The directors include Executive Director (ED), Central, Mr. Ibrahim Tanko Mohammed, Executive Director, South, Mr. Elisha Olanrewaju Fagbohun and Executive Director, North, Ismaila Galadanchi.

A statement signed by the bank’s Head, Corporate Communications, Theodora Amaechi, a copy, which was made available to THISDAY said: “This is part of the deliberate initiatives aimed at meeting the challenges of its new vision.”

Continuing, it said: “In order to adapt its people, structure and processes for greater efficiency in the retail market segment, the bank had earlier in October created a new directorate, Secretariat and Services Directorate, headed by Mrs. Aisha Azumi Abraham, which is strategically positioned to be at the forefront of its strategic resolve to deliver best-in-class service in all areas to all its stakeholders in line with this new vision.”
