- RT Briscoe Plc says it has no regrets ending its 11-year business relationship with Ford Motor Company as its automotive subsidiary in Nigeria.
- The General Manager, Briscoe Ford, Eguaikhide Olorunfemi, said this in Lagos, adding that the separation between the two companies was as a result of unresolved operational challenges faced by the local dealership.
- Olorunfemi said, ‘’we want to state categorically that we have no regrets whatsoever exiting the Ford dealership business in Nigeria. We had since activated our exit plan when the signs became clear to us that medium- to long-term profitability could not be guaranteed despite all the huge challenges we face daily running the Ford dealership in Nigeria to ensure customer satisfaction.’’
- Ford recently announced that it was severing its relationship with BriscoeFord and strengthening its deal with the other partner, Coscharis Motors in Nigeria.
- Briscoe said that the exit would not affect loyal RT Briscoe customers due to their long-term faith and confidence in the company’s brand legacy spanning over 60 years.
