Tetra Pak West Africa has announced the appointment of Oshiokamele Aruna as its new Managing Director. He is the First Nigerian to be named the Managing Director of the company.
The company’s Communications Director, North & West Africa, Tawfiq Agoumi, noted that the new appointment was a reflection of Aruna’s impeccable pedigree and competence.
He has over 18 years’ work experience spanning various senior management roles including Tetra Pak West Africa, a company that he joined in 2005.
Profile of the new Managing Director
- Oshiokamele Aruna has his B.Sc in Chemical Engineering from the Lagos State University in 1998.
- He attended IMD Business school and Ashridge Executive Education at Hult International Business school.
- He was at various times the chief accountant and financial controller of the company.
- Aruna rose to become the Director, Finance and Business Transformation Tetra Pak West Africa in 2011, a position he held until his recent appointment as the Managing Director of the company. He is a chartered accountant.
Tetra Pak is a multinational food packaging and processing sub-company of Tetra Laval, with head offices in Lund, Sweden. Tetra Pak is currently the largest food packaging company in the world by sales, operating in more than 170 countries.
