Following the success of its maiden YES boot camp in Lagos in 2017, Nigeria-based business development firm Hybrid Group HYBR has announced the application for the second edition of its Young Enterprise Scale up (YES) Bootcamp.
The 2018 Bootcamps are scheduled to take place in four cities across Africa namely: Lagos, Nairobi, Johannesburg and Cape Town. The Bootcamp will support a total of 120 scale-ups across the selected cities.
What the Bootcamp intends to achieve
This year’s edition is in partnership with Netherland-based leadership programme THNK. The Bootcamp is a two-day intensive workshop to educate SME founders on how they can design their businesses for scale. All applicants will receive a free e-book on scaling business with a target to educate more than 600 entrepreneurs directly in the next five years
According to the CEO of HYBR, Charles Ojei, the boot camp was conceived with the intention to create more scale-ups in Africa.
“In our bold pursuit to help create more scale-ups in Africa, we have designed YES Programme in partnership with THNK School of Creative Leadership. Since June 2016, we have been piloting our services to ventures to validate what works and what does not work in our local environment.”
The Bootcamp focuses on the scale-up category of young businesses –defining them as those “designed to scale from the very start.”
