Chidiebere Nwokeocha - Cornerstone Insurance Plc appoints new Executive Director

Cornerstone Insurance Plc has appointed Chidiebere Nwokeocha as its new Executive Director. The company disclosed this in a notice to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).

Nwokeocha’s profile 

Nwokeocha has over 28 years experience varied working experience, spanning banking and finance; oil and gas, corporate, commercial, and retail banking among other areas. Nwokeocha attended several local and international courses and is an alumnus of the London Business School and International Institute of Management Development (IMD) Lausanne, Switzerland.

Cornerstone Insurance is currently trading at N0.22 in today’s trading session on the NSE.

Results for the nine months ended September 30 2018, show gross premium written increased from N7.3 billion in 2017, to N9.6 billion in 2018. The firm made a profit before tax of N789 million in 2018 as against a loss before tax of N1.9 billion in 2017. Profit after tax stood at N658 million in 2018 as against a loss after tax of N2.1 billion in 2017.

The company was incorporated on July 26, 1991 as a private limited liability company, Cornerstone Insurance Plc became a Public Limited Liability and was quoted on the Nigerian Stock Exchange in 1997.
