Chairman, House Committee on Health, Lagos House of Assembly, Avoseh Hodewu Suru, has assured residents of the state that a new health service bill, which is undergoing legislative process will be passed before the Seventh Assembly winds down in June.
Speaking during a media interactive forum in Lagos at the weekend, Suru who represents Badagry 11 Constituency, said the bill has already passed the Second Reading.
He maintained that as soon as the House resumes after the general elections, the lawmakers will pass the bill after putting finishing touches to it, and then forwarding it to Governor Babatunde Fashola for his assent.
Suru stressed that Fashola will be happy to give assent to the law before he leaves office on May 29, adding that the new law will help to improve the health situation of Lagos residents.
