Beginning from next year, Nigeria will undertake the printing of currency and other Security Documents (SD) for Ghana, Cote’Ivorie and other West African nations the Daily Independent reports.
The paper attributed this claim to Joseph Ugbo, managing director of Nigerian Security Printing & Minting (NSPM) while presenting the 2014 budget performance and 2015 budget proposal before the House Committee on Banking and Currency chaired by Jones Onyereri.
Strangely, the report never provides further details regarding this claim as the rest of the article instead focused on acquisitions of state of the art printing equipment and other issues bothering on strategy, marketing and operations.
