CORPORATE ACTION: Fidelity Bank Appoints New Divisional Head

Nairametrics| Fidelity Bank Plc. has announced the appointment of Charles Aigbe as the Divisional Head, Brand and Communications of the bank. This was made known by a statement released by the bank’s Chief Executive Officer, Fidelity Bank, Mr. Nnamdi Okonkwo.

The bank said that the decision to appoint Aigbe was in line with its rebranding and repositioning strategy of the next growth phase. “We welcome him to the Fidelity Bank family. We will work together, leveraging our combined experiences to actualise all our growth initiatives and grow the Fidelity Bank brand,” said Okonkwo.

Aigbe joins Fidelity Bank with a wealth of experience after holding a similar position at United Bank for Africa (UBA). He started out at the defunct Kapital Merchant Bank before moving into broadcasting when he joined DBN Television in the mid 90s. Later on, he left DBN Television as News Controller/Business Editor in late 2001 to take up an appointment with the UBA in January 2002.

Aigbe was called into the leadership of the association of communications managers in the industry in 2015 when he was elected as the First Vice-President of the Association of Corporate Affairs Managers of Banks.

He is an alumnus of the University of Jos, a chartered stockbroker and member of the Nigerian Institute of Marketing.
